Medicare Questions?
I'm TURNING 65, now what? When rolling on to Medicare you must enroll in a timely manner in order to avoid penalties.

What are MY CHOICES? When we meet, I will explain Original Medicare and Medicare Part C also known as Medicare Advantage, and the differences between them. Your choices are determined by the state and zip code in which you live.

How much does Medicare COST? When we meet, we will discuss the fees associated with each part of the Medicare program.; deductibles, co-pays, coinsurance and premiums.

How do I avoid a PENALTY? You avoid penalties by enrolling in Medicare within the program guidelines. Each part of Medicare has a different set of dates to which you are expected to enroll before and after your effective date.

My MEDICATIONS are so expensive, what can I do? Each year I help you research drug plans to ensure the medications you need are included in your plan.

These are just a sample of the questions I receive... I am sure you have your own

What are the parts of Medicare AND do I need them?
Part A
Medicare Part A is hospital insurance. It covers you during your "admitted" short-term inpatient stays in hospitals and for services like hospice. It also provides limited coverage for skilled nursing facility care and certain in-home healthcare services.
Part B
Medicare Part B is part of Original Medicare and is “medical insurance” which covers medically necessary outpatient expenses, including physician and nursing fees, as well as a range of services (such as x-rays, diagnostic tests, some vaccinations and renal dialysis) and some equipment.
Part C
Medicare Part C is commonly known as Medicare Advantage. This is private coverage offered by private insurance companies, as opposed to being administered by the government; that combines the benefits of Part A and Part B and is an alternative to original Medicare.
Part D
Medicare Part D is optional prescription drug coverage that helps pay for prescription drug expenses.
